On Thursday channel 4 news, man ln Bloomington protesting the Twins stadium held up $600 and said it would cost his family that much in increased sales taxes. With tax increase of 3 cents on $20 purchase or .15%, it would take spending $400,000 on taxable items or $1,600,000 total spending to accomplish that. Is that possible in one lifetime?

To the editor,
This past Tuesday there were two newspaper columns regarding new stadium for the Twins. One by Joe Soucheray of the Pioneer Press and another by Nick Coleman of the enemy paper Star Tribune. Coleman wrote from a typically liberal of point of view in that the only point he made involved class envy. To quote, "It's amazing what a relentless propaganda campaign can accomplish. Espcecially one funded with millions from the deep pockets of those who benefit." He also mentions that Pohlad is being subsidized and transfer substantial wealth from the poorest to the richest. I find that virtually all who oppose the stadium do from envy of Pohlad. That's class envy
Soucheray, writing from a more reasonable point of view sez that most letters in opposition to the ball park refer to That "%&$@(*& billionaire". Now that's real class. Activists somehow have themselves convinced that homelessness would disappear if only we wouldn't build a ball park.

I write from a conservative point of view and do stress personal responsibility. My top motto is "With every right and privilege there is a corresponding duty and responsibility." This is typically the conservative way. The typical liberal and ACLU way is to stress rights with never a mention of responsibility.
