Today, Wednesday April 18, 2007, the US Supreme Court upheld the ban on partial-birth abortion by a vote of 5 to 4 , with the liberal members opposed. Thank God for little Olof, Justin, Jena, Michael, Laura, Bethy, Danielle, Chrissy, Emily, Evan, Michael, Joseph, Patrick, Basil, Joseph, Jenny and probably more.
The federal law passed by congress in 2003 and signed by President Bush, bans the procedure known medically as "intact dilation and extarction" which typically occurs late in the second trimester of pregnancy or later. Roe v. Wade provides for abortion through the second trimester which ends at 28 weeks of gestation and the baby is generally viable at any time from 16 to 20 weeks.
When performing this abortion the baby's (not fetus) head is too large to pass through the cervix and the head has to crushed and the whole baby (not fetus)is thrown in the garbage can.
The roll call on this bill was: Senate Republicans 48 yae and 4 nay. Senate Democrats 16 yae and 30 nay. House Republicans 220 yae and 5 nay House Democrats 63 yae and 139 nay.
Partial-birth abortion bills, passed by a Republican congress, were vetoed by Bill Clinton on 4/10/1996 and 10/10/1997.
The writer has presented the facts without giving an opinion and now, with the previous discussion in mind, the reader may form his or her own learned opinion. I report and U decide.
Country song titled IT AIN'T SAFE TO BE NO WOMB DWELLER.
Today I saw you on the ultra sound, You sure ain't very big around, Warning! Warning! little feller, It ain't safe to be no womb dweller.
Since your momma took the notion, She can kill you without commotion, And I ain't got no say about your life, Cause your momma, she ain't my wife.
But how can they call it "pro-choice", When me and the little feller got no voice? The supreme court sez it's a woman's right, SO DEAR SON, GOOD NIGHT
Music written to this would be appreciated.

...."to take from one, because it is through his own industry ... has aquired too much, in order to spare others who have not excercised equal industry and skill, is to violate arbitrarily the first priciple of association, the guarantee to everyone the free excercise of his industry and the fruits acquired by it."
As it is now, after the Bush tax cut, a family of four pays no income tax until they reach income of at least $45,000 a year instead of paying tax at $25,000 per year earlier. The minimum tax rate was reduced from 15% to 10% and the top rate from 36.2% to 35.7% which makes the tax tables even more progressive than before.
The approximately 40% of voters who pay no income tax have an equal say in how the money is to be raised and spent by the government.
Total government tax receipts have increased by at least 25% since the tax cut.

"Hang on. It'll be a fascinating and turbulent ride through the ever-growing business of NASCAR." Last sentence of first chapter of book written by Mark Yost titled 200-MPH BILLBOARD, the inside story of how big money changed NASCAR. Having never taken a particular interest in auto racing, except when driving my now totalled Saab convertible, I am anxious to see what else Mark has to say. If he does as well as he did in his previous book TAILGATING, SACKS AND SALARY CAPS it's a no-miss situation. Final edition probably in August 2007.

The following is taken from an address by the President of The United States of America to the citizens of the U.S. and quoted verbatim.
"Earlier today I ordered America's armed forces to strike military and security targets in Iraq. They are joined by British forces. Their mission is to attack Iraq's nuclear, chemical and biological weapons programs and it's military capacity to threaten it's neighbors." "Their purpose is to protect the national interests of the United States and, indeed, the interests of the middle east and and around the world." "Saddam Hussein must not be allowed to threaten his neighbors or the rest of the world with nuclear arma, poison gas or biological weapons." "He used them not oncve but repeatedly. Unleashing chemical weapons against Iranian troop during a decade long war. Not only against soldiers but against civilians, firing scud missiles at the citizens of Israel, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Iran. And not only against a foreign enemy, but even against his own people, gassing Kurdish civilians in northern Irag" "The international community had little doubt then, and I have no doubt today, that left unchecked, Saddam Hussein wil use these terrible weapons again."
This was not President George W. Bush but the president was President Bill Clinton and the year was 1998. The complete text can be found at www.archive.salon.com/news/1998/12/17newsd.html.
In 1998 the Clinton administration, echoing the view of President Geo. H.W. Bush and earlier presidents, contended that it has no need for authorization from either congress or the United Nations security council to wage war.
At the start of twe war Presidet Bush had a high approval rating with the public and a year and one-half later his rating was still high enough to be re-elected. Had the war gone as expected we would now be pretty much out of there and Bush would be a hero. As it is now, after things going bad, he is doing his best to get us out.

Study by a federal panel responsible for conducting election research, the Election Assistance Commission, sez that voter fraud is widespread and justifies the voter identification laws that have been passed in at least two dozen states.
Democrats are opposed to voter identification laws which they say disenfranchise the poor, members of minority groups and the elderly , who are less likely to have photo IDs and less likely to be prepared in advance to vote and are more likely to vote for Democrats. The topic of voter fraud has played a significant role in the current Congressional investigation into the Bush administration's firing of eight United States attorneys, several of whom, documents now indicate, were dismissed for being insufficiently aggressive in pursuing voter fraud cases. Another report found that voter identification laws designed to fight fraud can reduce turnout, particularly among members of minorities, another loss for the Democrats.
The topic of voter fraud, usually defined as people misrepresenting themselves at the polls or improperly attempting to register voters is easily done in the state of Minnesota. Minnesota is one of only several states that allows registration at the polls on election day which leaves us wide open to election fraud. This law was passed with a great majority of Democratic votes in the state legislature knowing that they would have the most to gain.
Present bill, sponsored by Charley Rangel (D-NY), HR 818 dated 2/5/2007 and titled Ex-Offender Voting Rights Act seems reasonable if they have served their time including probation and restitution. My only opposition would be that the majority of their votes would go to Charley Rangel and his party.
