 BARACK OBAMA SEZ....

On page 97 of The Audacity of Hope by Barack Obama sez...." we remember him (Abrahan Lincoln) for the firmness and depth of his convictions--his unyielding opposition to slavery and his determination that a house divided could not stand." As it is now the majority of Democrats have the audacity to believe that Abe Lincoln supported slavery. Ask my friends at White Castle, especially Will Browne.

 MEDICARE PART D

Independent experts at both the Office of the Actuary at HHS and the Congressionl Budget Office have said that government involvement in price negotiation for Medicare drug benefit would not lead to lower cost for taxpayers, and it will lead to significant restrictions in access to drugs for seniors.

Government interference with price negotation is unecessary because experience with part D thus far demonstrates that intense competition among many insurance companies and price negotiation with drug companies are working. During the first year of operation, the part D benefit has come in $13 billion under budget. That's significant.

The bill passed by congress is solely on comparison with Veterans Administration policy. My personal research shows that comparing 26 commonly used drugs with VA formulary and Medicare part D formulary, Medicare rejected one and VA rejected 15. I can demonstrate that part D is getting 22% discount from drug companies that is being passed on to benificiaries.

The program is designed to help most those in greatest need, those of low income and those with catastrophic drug costs. The present bill passed by congress is politically motivated.

ALL HAIL THE POWER OF JACK BAUER

Jack Bauer of TV show "24" is so tuff:
When Jack Bauer does push ups he doesn't push himself up, he pushes the earth down.
J.B. doesn't need a watch, he decides what time it is.
J.B. lost his virginity before his father did.
J.B. played russian roulette with a fully loaded gun, and he won.
When J.B. is in a crowded area , he doesn't walk around people, he goes through them.
J.B. has a deep and abiding love for human life....unless it gets in his way.
J.B. once ate a complete bottle of sleeping pills. They made him blink.
People wear superman pajamas. Superman wears J.B. pajamas.
J.B.s house has no doors, he just walks through walls.
J.B. doesn't actually write books, the words assemble themselves out of fear.
J.B. doesn't bowl strikes, he just knocks down one and the rest faint.
It takes J.B. 20 minutes to watch 60 minutes.
For most the left testicle is larger than the right. For J.B. each testicle is larger than the other.
When the J.B. talks everyone listens or else dies.
J.B. invented his own type of karate.t's called Jack-Will_kill.

 WAGES EXCEED INFLATION

Inflation in 2006 eased to the slowest pace in three years. In further good news, inflation-adjusted wages rose at the fastest clip in a decade. The Labor Dept. reported that the consumer price index climbed 2.5% last year, the best showing since 2003 and nearly a full percentage point lower than the 3.4% jump in 2005. The encouraging news stemmed from a sizeable slowdown in energy costs in the second half of last year. The slowdown in prices occured as workers wages began to show bigger gains. The combination of lower inflation and faster wage growth translated into an increase in inflation-adjusted weekly wages of 2.1% for the 80% of the workforce in non supervisory positions. Over the past 20years consumer price index has grown by 85% and average wage index has grown by 121%. This means a 36% increase in real wages over that period of time.
