According to the above, it seems that all of Islam can be called radical.
My only experience with Muslim was a fine young man from Somalia who was totally dedicated to Islam and I believe to the point that he would do anything Islam would order.
It's hard to understand that we have elected a Muslim, Keith Ellison, to represent us in U.S. Congress, Minnesota 5th district DFL. It makes me fearful.

"We control both chambers of Congress now,so it is difficult for us to have an excuse for not doing anything". He is pushing to create an ethical Congressional commission and advocates broader campaign-finance changes as well. Most of the opposition to this is within his own Democratic party, from the leaders of his party, rather than the Republicans.

Democrats vote against legislation to control law suits. You don't bite the hand that feeds you and same goes with unions.

It's traditional in congress to measure a Congress' success by the number of bills it passes. Relating to earmarks and porkbarrel spending, the fewer favors you hand out, the fewer chances to sell your vote. A do-nothing Congress is bad for the local economy. But it's fine for the rest of the country. Present bill pending to control earmark is sponsored by Republicans.
