 Letter To The Eitor

"Johnson our dear old high school, etc" Article in today Pioneer Press about Harding High School and St. Paul High School hockey was well done and accurate... except....what happened to Johnson? Johnson won the state tournament championship five times from 1947 thru 1963 and many times runner-up. Not to be ignored are names like Governor Wendy Anderson, coach Herb Brooks winner of 1980 olympics and my son in law Dougie Long on 1972 runner-up team who set record number of saves as goal tender which still stands.

 PRESENT UNEMPLOYMENT RATE 4.7%

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics "Unemployment Insurance statistics cannot be used as a source of information on the number of unemployed". Current population survey shows that the Labor Force is made up of civilian, noninstitutional population 16 years or older. Exceptions to this are those not looking for work, in school, retired, homemakers and those with physical or mental disability. With subtracting those employed from the total Labor Force the difference is the unemployment rate of 4.7%. There are those who are too petty to accept this.
