For Personal Responsibility
Tuesday June 3, 2008
Massachusetts reduced its proportion of uninsured adults by nearly half in the first year of mandatory health coverage and made gains in the share of people receiving routine preventive care, according to the first major study of the 2006 law.
The decline in the share of residents without insurance was nearly equivalent for those with low or moderate incomes and those with higher incomes. Sure beats socialized medicine. I report,U decide.

Barack Obama is getting painfully close to tying himself in knots with all his explanations of the conditions under which he would unconditionally talk with America’s foes, like Iran. His latest clarification was that there is a difference between “preparations” and “preconditions” for negotiations with bad guys. Such hair-splitting word games do not inspire confidence, and they play right into the arms of his critics. The last place he wants to look uncertain is on national security.
As I have argued before: When you have leverage, talk. When you don’t have leverage, get some. Then talk.
It doesn't pay to "be nice" to someone that wants to blow you and your friends off the face of the earth. Tell Barack that it just doesn't work and never has. I report,U decide.

A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." -Second Amendment to the United States Constitution
There is no more important constitutional issue than that of defending the plain language and original intent of the Second Amendment
And make no mistake, the newly-emboldened Left, with Barack Hussein Obama leading the charge, is gunning for those rights. Obama supports the D.C. regulations because he, "...wanted to make sure that local communities were recognized as having a right to regulate firearms... The notion that somehow local jurisdictions can't initiate gun laws isn't born out by our Constitution."

Today's action by the House of Representatives emphasizes the importance of personal responsibility," said National Restaurant Association President and CEO Steven C. Anderson. "Frivolous litigation is not a solution to addressing the complex issue of obesity."
Anderson said it is "irrational" to hold restaurants and food companies legally responsible for choices that Americans freely make each day - including what to eat, when to eat and how much to eat.
This bill was passed with Republicans voting 226 Ayes and none No. Democrats voted 80 Aye and 114 no. Democrats owe the trial lawyers who give 97% of their political donations to the Democratic party. You don't bite the hand that feeds you.

It appears that the Democrats in the Legislature want to bail out the poor folks who were "forced" by unscrupulous lenders to take out loans they couldn't afford.
Why is there this irresistible impulse by the lefties to want to dig people out of holes they created for themselves as a result of stupidity, recklessness and/or greed, and to completely reject the concept of personal responsibility?
These people made a conscious decision to buy these homes. No one forced them to do anything.
Why should those of us who have our lives in order, through hard work and discipline, now have to pay for the recklessness of others? I report,U decide.
